WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!!!! Only a couple of days left until our 1st Annual Student Recital!!!! I’m soooooo excited!!!! The programs were printed today, which was my final item to complete, aside from one last meeting with the venue management that I have Thursday morning. And, the students are ready!!!!! I’m so proud of everyone. This week has been final run-throughs and I won’t lie, I’ve asked everyone to play their performance pieces multiple times because I just love hearing them played. It’s going to be nice for me to sit back as an audience member, take off the teacher hat, and just listen to the performances (when I’m not taking pictures…hehehe).
Here’s your final reminders for this coming weekend……
- Event: 1st Annual Alexander Doan School of Music Student Recital
- Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025
- Time: 1pm-3pm
- Where: St. Andrew’s United Church, 5645 Morrison Street, Niagara Falls
- BRING YOUR MUSIC!!
- I will provide a music stand for the solo instrumentalists
- A few of you have asked about checking out the piano ahead of the start time. I will be at the church by 12:15pm for those whom asked. For everyone else, I would suggest between 12:30-12:45pm for arrival.
- Venue entrance is the entrance at the parking lot side. I’ll either be at the door to greet everyone or have someone there to do so if I’m busy with other things (If there are any of the students that would like to hand out programs, let me know!).
- There is no assigned seating, however I would like to have all of the performers in the first two rows, which will be instructed as your arrive. Obviously if you want to sit with your family, please so so. 🙂
- The church is providing a bin for your Toy Donations
- Please feel free to stay afterwards. I made a trip to COSTCO and picked up some snacks and drinks for everyone, including a vegan snack option for those who prefer that option.
